B. Graphical Abstract

A graphical abstract is a visual summary that synthesizes the key points of an article in an attractive and concise manner. Its goal is to quickly capture the reader’s attention and communicate the most relevant aspects of the research.

Graphical Abstract Requirements:

  • Image: It should be a clear and original representation of the work described in the article. It must be submitted as a separate file, not embedded in the Word document.

  • Format: The file should be in JPG or PNG format, with a maximum size of 2.5 MB and a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. Minimum dimensions are 800 x 800 pixels. Avoid including additional text such as titles, author names, or headers. Use fonts like Times, Arial, Cambria, Courier, or Symbol with an adequate size to ensure readability when the image is reduced.

  • Style: The design should be clear, simple, and easy to read. Avoid overcrowding the image with too many elements.

Tips for creating a Graphical Abstract:

  • Clarity and Simplicity: Ensure that the graphical abstract is easy to understand, highlighting the essential points of the article.

  • Consistency with the Article: The visual content should faithfully reflect the article, avoiding distortion of results.

  • Appropriate Use of Graphics: Use images or graphs that effectively represent the information.

Submission Details:

  • Graphical abstracts must be submitted as a separate file when uploading the manuscript to OJS.
  • Do not insert the image into a Word file as this will reduce its quality.
  • The graphical abstract will only be shown in the table of contents and will also undergo peer review.
