Educación Química follows international standards of authorship and attribution in academic publishing, in accordance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) recommendations. Authorship is granted only to those who have made substantial contributions to the design, data collection, analysis, or writing of the article and who actively participate in the review and approval of the final manuscript.

Authors must be listed in the order agreed upon among them and are responsible for the integrity and accuracy of their work. If there are multiple authors, all must agree to be included as co-authors and sign a statement certifying their contribution and agreement with the article's content.

Authorship Criteria:

  • Significant contribution in at least one of the following areas: conception, design, execution, analysis, or interpretation of data.
  • Writing and critical revision of the article, along with final approval for publication.
  • Acceptance of responsibility for the ethical, scientific, and methodological aspects of the article.

Contributors who do not meet the authorship criteria but have provided significant assistance (e.g., data collection, technical advice, or manuscript review) may be acknowledged in the acknowledgments section.

Responsibility and Attribution:

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all co-authors and contributors have been properly acknowledged and that there are no improper omissions in the authorship list. Additionally, the journal requires all authors to adhere to appropriate citation and attribution standards, ensuring that cited works are correctly referenced to avoid plagiarism.

Role of the corresponding author:

The corresponding author will be primarily responsible for maintaining communication with the journal throughout all stages of the editorial process: submission, review, and publication. This author will ensure compliance with all requirements established by the journal and will communicate editorial decisions and any requests for corrections to the co-authors.

Additionally, the corresponding author must ensure that all co-authors have approved the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission for evaluation and potential publication in Educación Química.
