Abstract

Scientific and technological literacy is one of the main objectives of scientific education, however, there are arguments about its definition and possibilities of implementation. There is, though, the consensus that Science teachers (Chemistry, Physics and Biology) have an important role in its promotion. Thus, the present article aimes to analyse elements of Scientifical and Technological Literacy, its concepts and dimensions, in the Pedagogical Projects of Chemistry programs offered on various Brazilian institutions. For such, it was performed a mixed methods research, in which the Pedagogical Projects of 15 Chemistry courses of different institutions from the five Brazilian regions were analyzed in the software Iramuteq 0.7 alpha 2. The results show that the programs indicate the importance of the three dimensions of the STL analyzed in this study, which configures as an argument in favor of further investigations about the implementation of these concepts in the day-to-day practice of these programs.
