Los límites de las teorías del “otro”. Hacia un descentramiento de la epistemología de las Ciencias Sociales
Main Article Content
Abstract
Since the 1990s, the way non-Europeans or indigenous groups have integrated to the larger society changed dramatically. This article shows that such changes occurred due to a new form of political and economic model known as neoliberalism, and that this model started out with the 1968 U.S. legislation, which enabled freedom of religion in exchange for property ownership. Because of that it is necessary to change the theoretical focus by which the Social Science field has understood issues related to indigenous groups. This article highlights “symbolic violence” in order to eliminate it and tries to avoid the use of such logocentrisms as ethno and onto. To do that, we’ll use history and look at these groups from a social subjective analysis.
