Role of the Editors
Editors are directly responsible for the editorial management and the peer review process. Their duties include:
• Initial manuscript selection: Ensuring that submitted manuscripts comply with the journal's policies.
• Review process coordination: Assigning reviewers, either external or from the Editorial or Scientific Committee, ensuring an impartial double-blind review process.
• Decision making: Based on the evaluations received, deciding whether a manuscript is accepted, rejected, or requires revisions.
• General oversight: Ensuring adherence to ethical standards and quality throughout the editorial process.
Interaction between the Committees and Editors
• The Scientific Committees (National and International) and the Editorial Committee act as advisory bodies, supporting editors in strategic decisions regarding the journal’s development.
• Editors lead the daily editorial process, consulting the committees for specific manuscript evaluations or important decisions related to the journal's management and progress.
The success of Entreciencias depends on the efficient collaboration between its committees and editors, who play complementary roles in the editorial process. Each group has specific functions designed to ensure quality, transparency, and scientific rigor in every publication.
