Abstract

On January 2, 2022, Dr. Richard Erskine Frere Leakey, or simply Richard Leakey, one of the world's most prominent paleoanthropologists and conservationist dedicated to the protection of African fauna, passed away. He is undoubtedly one of the most influential figures in the scientific and humanistic thinking of our society during the last century and so far this century.
