The fundamental concern of qualitative research is to understand the world from the point of view of social actors, for which the anthropologist becomes interpreter of the meanings of their speeches, which involves the immersion of the researcher in the context of such actors to achieve the description, analysis and interpretation of representations and practices, as well as social interaction. In this paper we present the itinerary of the data analysis of the corpus, consisting of a series of interviews transcribed for patients and physicians of the Clinic of Pain and Palliative Care, General Hospital of Mexico, conducted in 2009 and 2011, information that attempts to synthesize the qualitative analysis method in seven steps, which aims to show the application of anthropological knowledge, with which it seeks to make sense of subjectivity and the world of life in wich the social actors move, to note its peculiarities and try to go beyond the explicit perceptions and understand the meaning of life.
