The caves have been widely exploited by the Mayans to various features, notably its use as burial deposits. This study aims to identify the characteristics of the mortuary contexts in six caverns of the State of Yucatan. This contribution discusses the particularities of the caverns, associated cultural elements and the burials. The results obtained enable to know practices and customs by the Mayans in underground spaces in the North of the Yucatan Peninsula.
