Las figurillas cerámicas del centro de Veracruz: una aproximación a la diversidad cultural prehispánica en el Clásico a través de la representación corporal

Abstract

In this study are shown some descriptions of the types of anthropomorphic figurines encountered in the center of the State of Veracruz from the Classic cultural horizon, which can foster our learning of the cultural diversity of the region through its corporal representation. Our inherent purpose is to ascertain that the different styles observed in these figurines do reflect the corporal image of the ancient settlers, and through these relics one can derive an understanding of the social endeavor of the dwellers of this area.
