The study of the cultural modification of the head in the Andean culture Paracas leads to recognize that this group shaped the head to symbolize and to acquire a currency of distinction to exhibited determined models that differ between ethnic groups. This difference refers to a process of creation and production of sociocultural meanings inscribed in the body, which interact in both a synchronous and diachronic line, inside the system of the culture. It is proposed as a reflection of a semiotic of the culture, which allows to understanding better this cultural creation since the identity of the creative act of the human being of Paracas, who has constructed inside each shaped head the image of his culture.
