Abstract

From a conceptual map where we have placed a new body and work notion to analyze work’s health in a broad way, we approach to explain that in the labor history of the phone operators they stand out aspects that configuring their identity associated to uses of the body in the work, to meaning of work and, to the being’s operator own significance. This paper synthesizes elements that allow us to interpret how the company’s demands –in terms both of skill’s acquisition and body control to perform the telephone operator’s hygiene and moral behavior– are as such for the configuration of a useful and disciplined body.
