Click, Pan, Scroll: A Database of 500 Architecture Websites

Abstract

This paper presents a database of 500 websites dedicated to the dissemination of architecture. An analysis of the database reveals the origins, underlying formatting principles and metrics of these websites as of December 2017, ultimately outlining a heterogeneous media environment that is dominated by a limited number of platforms sharing a range of structural properties: interactivity, frequent updates and a database-like form of navigation.
