Abstract

The history of architecture and its archive tend to connect to patriarchal and colonial registers which support epistemicide. Subverting the normative architectural archive could mediate the redefinition and readjustment of the limits and optics of historical narratives. Through care, the matristic archive (anti-patriarchal, anti-hegemonic) dissents and incites against the discourse that rendered the south(s) as territories without reason, without knowledge, without history and without architecture.
