Abstract
This article analyzes the early web versions of the architectural journals Domus, Abitare, El
Croquis and Metropolis, launched in the mid-1990s, revealing their pioneering use of the World
Wide Web as a means of architectural dissemination, as well as their seminal role in identifying
the most important constraints on digitally communicating information on the discipline.
