Abstract

The control of territory grants power, and so spaces tend to be disputed by multiple individuals or communities. To observe the behavior of power, it is useful to analyze the tensions between specific communities and the market with regard to property. The case of Alpuyeca, Morelos allows us to observe how power relationships are exercised in space, as this community has been resisting several real estate development projects since 2006.
