Mexico and ciam. Notes to Mexican Modern Architecture History [part two]
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper will analyze a series of letters between the exiled German architect, Max Cetto and important personalities in architecture of the twentieth century, among them: Siegfried Giedion, Walter Gropius, Josep Lluís Sert. These documents offer a polemic look of Mexican
architecture during the first half of the previous century and illustrate the failed and unexplored relation between Mexico and the ciam (Congrès Internacional d’Architecture Moderne), so far.
