Fuerza de retención al esmalte con adhesivos usados en ortodoncia, utilizando dos tipos de base de brackets (estudio comparrativo in vitro)

Abstract
New dental adhesives are being developed constantly to reduce time, and to simplify the bonding technique. The aim of this study was to evaluate the strength obtained after applying different adhesive methods to the enamel with two types of mechanical interlock bases metal brackets (Gemin [mesh] / Minidinalock [rail]). Forty experimental samples (premolars) were used and divided into two groups of 20. The first was treated with self etching primer (SEP Transbond Plus) and the second with conventional adhesive (Transbond MIP) from 3M UNITEK company. The samples were exposed to tangential forces in the universal Instron machine at a crosshead speed of 1.0 mm/min in order to determine the force of detachment brackets. After carrying out the statistical analysis one way ANOVA F(4,10) = 4.921, P = 0.006 and the Dunnett test concluded that conventional adhesive Transbond MIP with mesh (control group) and one step adhesive with rail showed statistically significant difference in the shear bond strength obtained to enamel.
