Abstract

The concept of Popular power has acquired relevance in Latin American political language in correspondence with the sociopolitical processes developed in recent years. This has had an analytic correlate in a plurality of researches and considerations oriented to clarify its semantic and sociopolitical content, as well as its potentialities, scopes and limitations. In this article we analyze the academic production that testifies the reemergence of Popular power as an object of scientific knowledge. Therefore, it looks not only for the resurgence of such research object, but also considers the national and supranational political challenges that triggered the concern about the matter, as well as the approaching challenges, consensus and debates.
