Abstract
analysis of the historic and complex elections that Peru experienced in 2021, in which the conservative forces represented by Fujimorism at the hands of an alliance of center-left headed by Professor Pedro Castillo. The author explains the rugged route that the current President lived after winning the second electoral round and the inauguration, because the Peruvian right, in an openly coup position, sought to build a narrative of disqualification and attack supported by the powers internal and external facts, highlighting the work of media monopolies, in which sought to ignore the leftist triumph based on an alleged fraud to teacher's favour. Almost a month and a half later, the electoral body finally declared Pedro Castillo as president-elect. In this context, this valuable text analyzes the elements present at the bottom of the process: the actors and their projects politicians, the discursive game of an essentially anti-democratic and coup right wing, and the prospects that the banner of transformation may come to fruition.
