Abstract

The work intends to recapture the particularities of the Latin American history and so shade the interpretations of that history based in imported models. The analysis supposes that the political processes that they have collected life in the area reflect the force of traditional ways to handle the domination, force that is going beyond of social relationships that in a first moment sponsored them. From such perspective are analyzed the limits and obstacles that it has faced the construction of the democracy and are noted some of the shafts that permit to discuss about its viability in the subcontinent.
