Main Article Content

Darío Salinas

Abstract

This article offers an interpretation of the political transition in Latin America. The Author argues that this transition has lead to a form of governability devoid of popular participation in decision-making process, and to the dismissal of social problems. In closing, Salinas recommends the application of a more radical form of sociological analysis that considers all socio-political contradictions.
