Abstract

In the first part of this colective article the sociopolitical impact of the neoliberal model relevant to Latin America is analysed: the modifications to the structures of domain, to the political systems and to the social structures which have generated political violence in the region. these issues provide the setting to analyse the fact that the critical moment in Mexico is distinguished for being in a "integral crisis" situation. After evaluating how and why the country goes trough the current situation the authors conclude that the possible silutions of the crisis are scarce.
