Guerreiro Ramos politics: nationalism, revolution and socialism in the Brazilian debate in the decade of the sixties

Abstract

An important objective of this work revives a debate of the Brazilian revolution. It highlights Guerreiro Ramos criticism to Brazil's Communist Party (PCB) and to Marxist-Leninist ideology. According to Guerreiro, the PCB turned into an "alienated" organization, and it hampered the development of a revolutionary and nationalistic base. This work is divided into two areas: First, the Populist Nationalist Revolutionary Ideology, highly influential in Third World Countries.
