Abstract

This article analyzes both Latin America's most important social theory and works of the region's most renowned authors of the second half of the XX Century. It looks into the independence movement, development theories, internal colonialism, dependency theories, endogenous views,neodevelopment, and neoliberalism. In conclusion, this article attempts to shape up a view of Latin America for the XXI Century.
