Neoliberalism and procedures Mexican business groups and South Korean chaebols
Main Article Content
Abstract
This work examines the so-called Mexican conglomerates and the South Korean Chaebols. While the Mexican entrepreneurial sector has been active in politics since the mid-1980s due to its close ties to neoliberal governments, the chaebols have restructured themselves after the economic crisis of 1997-1998. Since their restructuration, the Chaebols have maintained a conflictive relationship with the State. Because of that, civil society and transnational corporations have blamed on the Chaebols for the latest economic crisis.
