Abstract

Control and social domination became more sophisticated. Very few times we look at iconography as a form of domination and control. It is everywhere and everyplace in civic society. The world is struggling for already three decades, trying to decipher our problems when we actually look atthem every day, through the images exposed in paper money. In this context, neoliberalism and globalization, which are part of Latin America today, can be narrated through the political iconography.Today, we can tell that political and economic changes, which are brought in by the powerof the government, mirror the changes occurring in Mexican and Latin American paper money. Itis a form that it is expressed and encoded the most obscure secrets of power.
