Structural aspects of mexican public finance in comparative perspective, 2000-2010
Main Article Content
Abstract
Between the structural features that characterize the precarious fiscal situation in Mexico, we found, within a global economic instability, issues in the productive apparatus of the public sector, whose contribution is of utmost importance to halt the decline of Mexico’s gross domestic product and toboosting the rest of its manufacturing industrial sector. Fiscal centralism, low economic growth rates and reduced government spending do not generate conditions to carry out deeper decentralized policies that encourage equal and sustained regional development.
