Abstract

This paper intends to highlight how indigenous people understood the issue of homosexuality during the XVI Century. It looks at the discourse of the conquest and the colonial period. The representation of sexuality was an essential part of the colonies while constructing the “other person”. This analysis will broaden our understanding of today’s Latin American culture.
