Ukraine, Human Rights Trampled
Main Article Content
Abstract
The Russian invasion of Ukraine was caused by Ukraine’s interest in marking its independence from the Russian government and becoming a member of the European Union. This inflamed the spirits of the “Russian empire” and led to the invasion of Ukraine. An invasion that has caused the need to flee from the war zone, especially women with children. On the other hand, the Russian regime has shown acts against humanity that have created concentration camps where it has sent prisoners of war, civilians, and children. These camps are reminiscent of those the Soviet regime set up during World War II and continued to use as mechanisms of persuasion against political dissidents.
