LITERATURE: TOOLS FOR TEXT ANALYSIS FROM A GENDER PERSPECTIVE

Abstract

Literature is one of the great fields where feminist and gender theory have found an object of study. Both have focused on the orizing and applying postulates; however, little has been taken to the area of didactics. Thinking that a text has either a given value or a theme due to the writer’s genre is very reductionist. It believes that it is irrelevant and that they have had the same opportunities to enter the canon. It is necessary to think further and know some issues revealed from concepts such as feminism, gender, feminine and feminist literature, which may be helpful during reading and analyzing a literary work.
