The collegial teamwork. A space to narrate experiences from teaching practice

Abstract

Managing learning and relearning for teachers is a challenge and a whole field of study. Therefore, in this paper, we present our experience in implementing an intervention project, which had as its main purpose to generate a collegial learning space of teaching experiences. The project was implemented in the High School “Articulo 3” of Poza Rica, Veracruz, Mexico, during the period August 2014 to July 2015. APRA (Access, Permanence and Academic Performance, for its initials in Spanish) was the basic methodology used for the project, which is an intervention proposal that considers the fundamental elements supporting the systematic processes of change and institutional improvement. Narration was used as a transversal work strategy during the intervention and was supported by other strategies such as a teaching book, sharing teaching experiences and collegial work with group feedback and self-evaluation.
