Configuration of the collective memory: The Devices. Per case, the writing system and the images

Abstract
In this article it is argued that artifacts: 1) are a sort of close and significant objects, and in consequence distant objects which are meaningless do not become so; 2) with these materials, the memories of people and groups are built, and that is called collective memory; 3) there are different artifacts, like monuments, records, body, music, but here two artifacts are developed: writing and images which are artifacts that are complementary to each other for society ́s past analysis and, 4) if these materials, that shape the collective memory, are altered, destroyed or missing, the memories go away with them and so social oblivion is configured. Societies are built, in a way, upon the basis memory-oblivion relationship.
