Abstract





In 2014, Sweden adopted an Feminist Foreign Policy, followed by: Noruega (2016), Canada (2017), France and Luxembourg (2019), Spain and Germany (2021) and Chile (2023). In September 2019, Mexico announced itself as the first country of Latin America and the Global South that adopted a policy of this kind. This article discusses Mexican Feminist Foreign Policy as an international political communication strategy, which can be addressed as a public diplomacy and nation-branding maneuver, promoted by Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador government. This article adds to the knowledge of how the feminist agenda is used in the promotion of the countries at international level, from an interdisciplinary perspective.
