La población posclásica del valle de Maltrata, Veracruz. Evidencias osteológicas

Abstract

This paper integrates archaeological and osteological data from a burial assemblage, explored in the valley of Maltrata, which is part of a PostClassic settlement. The sample was of one multiple burial with primary and secondary bone remains from thirty-six individuals concentrated at a small area with limited associations to cultural remains. The context of this burial is discussed, in order to reconstruct the funerary act, and we offer the results of our osteological analysis reconstruct the physical profile and living conditions of this human group.
