Abstract

This article revises lyrics as a central point to explore the social message and content of a selection of traditional Mexican and spanish songs for babies. Some of them tend to calm the children, some others are happy, even though, otherts are disturbing. These songs, sometimes, may you think of tired housewives. These infantile songs may be studied as a part significant and interesting part of the social imaginary of Mexican and Spanish cultures.
