Un plano de tierras en el códice Cozcatzin. Adaptaciones y transformaciones de la cartografía Prehispanica
Main Article Content
Abstract
Indigenous peoples registered their lands in a kind of map very different from European ones. Sometimes it was not necessary to include rivers, mountains or the toponym of the place where certain lands were situated. We find an example of this practice in the Codex Cozcatzin, in a section which until now was considered to be dealing with tributes. Thanks to various maps it has been possible to identify the area in question and the part of Mexico City that is registered in the map.
