Una revisión de la tipología cerámica del Tajin

Abstract

After explaining why it is deemed necessary to carry out a revision of the pottery typology of El Tajín, the author offers a detailed analysis of the typologies established for El Tajín by W. Du Solier (1939 and 1945) and P. Krotser and R. Krotser (1973). Based on a clear synthesis of these studies, the author presents ceramic attributes, which she then uses to elaborate complexes and sequences. She proposes her own typology, which is centered on five groups and twenty-five types, thus establishing equivalent types with those defined by Du Solier and the Krotsers. At the end of the work, she shows affinities between her ceramics and those of other areas, as well as the original differences of the former, for which she offers a chronological framework, from AD 800 to AD 1150.
