Abstract

This article analyzes how historical difusion has been achieved in Mexico, being part of the daily tasks of our historians. This process has been undertaken in different ways, as a result, among many variables, of the social role attributed to history over time in Mexico, the personality and political views of their authors, and the political situation at specific times. It is also interesting to note that some of the most popular writings that the laypublic considers to be of historical nature, are in fact antihistorical. Nevertheless, historical difusion has played an important role in giving the Mexican people a sense of history and an insight of their saga.
