Abstract
Meditating about his experience as ethnograph among the Bribri of Talamanca, Costa Rica, and about the judgements of some European anthropologist on Latin American anthropology, the author analyzes the epistemological particularities of this and its unavoidable political character, that stamps its specificity and authenticity.
