Abstract

The objetive of the study is to describe the mays that the Indian specialists obtain and define their apprenticeship and work in the Husteca communities. Between the teenek and nahuas exist different causes and ways for an individual to find itself sick, dying or bewitched. The ideology that operates for this explication and the concepts of sickness, spin around in turns of the harmony established between the human beings, the nature, the spirits that live in the sacred places and the gods. When this relationship breaks, the individual loses it’s balance and gets sick. In this context, the role of the curandero is to reestablish the lost balance.
