Abstract

The objective of this work, The Mother of Polls about the War of 2012 Polls, is to present information and data, methodology, analysis, interpretation and especially reflection, about a survey of public opinion that measures the pulse to the perception and assessment of surveys. That is, it was designed, applied and worked on a survey that aims to and tries to describe the view around the controversy of pre-election polls in the presidential race in 2012 in Mexico, and infer some perceptions and ideas around the topic of polls, pre-election use and post-election, consideration of influence and credibility citizen.

Anna María Fernández Poncela, Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana-Xochimilco

PhD in Anthropology from the Universidad de Barcelona. It belongs to the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (Level II), and a member of the Academia Mexicana de Ciencias Antropológicas (AMCA), and the Academia Mexicana de Ciencias (AMC).
She has published in national and international journals. Her latest book is "La violencia del lenguaje o el lenguaje que violenta. Equidad y género en el lenguaje" She has several lines of research: political participation and general culture, popular culture, gender relations, among others. fpam1721@correo.xoc.uam.mx
