Journalistic approaches and intentions to vote in elections for governor of Puebla
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study analyzes the inconsistencies between trends in voting intentions reported by some major newspapers of Puebla and the final results of voting in elections for state governor in 2010. The fact is closely linked to interests of the propaganda ruling party (PRI) for guiding the decisions of the electorate, given the significant progress of the Coalition Commitment Puebla in voter preferences. Although the purpose was not achieved by social mobilization of organized groups and the polarization of the protest vote, in essence constituted a violation of the rules that was not properly served by the electoral authorities.
