Abstract

This essay analyses the electoral behavior in the State of Tabasco during the last two governor’s elections when two political parties PRI and PRD confronted each other in an unusual popular mobilization. The proposed democratic political transition faces serious obstacles. On one hand the PRI has lost the corporative control. On the other the PRD has increased the number of votes. Both trends are the result of a disruption caused by the governors who adopted heterogeneous forms making political coalitions in the last twenty years and the local setting of an updated model.
