Abstract

Learning analytics in virtual environments have become a useful tool to identify the behavior of the student community in order to support the improvement of the indicators of educational programs. This paper presents a particular approach to the use of analytics in the Virtual University System of the University of Guadalajara to reduce dropout and failure in students of the General Baccalaureate by Interdisciplinary Areas through a proprietary development called “Student Behavior Analysis Tool (HACE)”.
