Abstract

In the following interview, Dr. Ofelia Angulo Guerrero, head of Mexico City’s Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (SECTEI), introduces us to two online high school education programs. On one hand, the Bachillerato policial program is designed for members of the local Ministry of Citizen Security and Citizen Protection who lack this educational level, while the Bachillerato en línea Pilares program is aimed at individuals who, due to various circumstances, couldn't or can't access conventional in-person education. Dr. Angulo highlights the distinctive features of both programs, emphasizing their respective advantages. Furthermore, she shares strategies that SECTEI will be implementing to promote enrollment and retention in these educational programs.
