Taking ICT into the Classroom: Communication Perspectives for Education
Main Article Content
Abstract
The foundation for this proposal is justified by the need to introduce an education/communication model that applies digital resources, within the dynamic of a teach-learning process that follows the education pattern of connectivism. Under this pattern, learning is characterized by a constructivist point of view. When considering the communication process as subject of study, we aim to get the elements that will support an Edu-communication model. Such model, weighs the use of information technology inside the classroom. In order to collect responses in the close survey, we used Likert scale, approved by the experts in the field, and backed by renowned scholars of education and communication research. We used Likert scale to measure all teaching fellows and regular grad students. Every student was considered for the questionnaire; the institution offers learning programs for teaching students. We used qualitative and descriptive research methodological strategies for this survey. Given the results of the new model of teach-learning process, the proposal received endorsement to support professors teaching courses on significant learning.
