Revelar perspectivas académicas: aseguramiento de la calidad en la educación abierta y a distancia

Resumen
La educación abierta y a distancia (EAD) ha evolucionado continuamente, influyendo significativamente en las esferas educativas, cotidianas y profesionales, lo que ha suscitado interés en su sustentabilidad y calidad. Este estudio exploró perspectivas científicas globales sobre el aseguramiento de la calidad en EAD utilizando el método de mapeo de la ciencia. Los términos de búsqueda se centraron en educación abierta, educación a distancia y aseguramiento de la calidad; los datos se recopilaron de 4,224 textos científicos en la colección principal de Web of Science. Los análisis se realizaron utilizando el software VOSviewer. Los análisis de coautoría exploraron las estructuras de colaboración científica a nivel de país. Se abordaron conceptos compartidos globalmente de interés para la comunidad científica mediante análisis de coocurrencia. Un examen detallado de los resultados de coocurrencia condujo a una clasificación relacionada con conceptos clave generales y emergentes. Los resultados mostraron un interés global generalizado en el aseguramiento de la calidad en EAD, fomentando conexiones basadas en nuevas similitudes culturales. El concepto de aseguramiento de la calidad en EAD continúa en proceso de enriquecerse y desarrollarse, gravitando hacia el aprendizaje y la instrucción focalizados, al tiempo de establecer fuertes vínculos con diversos componentes de la educación regular, así como con elementos humanos. Sin embargo, la visión predominante del aseguramiento de la calidad aún no ha abarcado esta diversidad. En lugar de considerar la naturaleza y el potencial actual de la EAD, ha mantenido una perspectiva externalizada y técnica.
