Abstract
It is examined how Skinner in spite he was considered to be against theoretical activity in science, developed three ways of theorizing in psychology: (a) the formulation of taxonomical categories, (b) the construction of a data-language for psychology; and (c) the hermeneutic extension of basic concepts to complex phenomena
