Valorización direccional de estímulos por palomas en una discriminación condicional
Main Article Content
Abstract
Pigeons were trained under a symbolic matching to sample paradigm. We hoped to demonstrate test however showed that the subjects did not behave according to such relationships.
A detailed analysis of the responses to the training configurations revealed an imbalance in the distribution of the side-key stimuli. It is suggested that this led the pigeons to attach a right or left response tendency to each of the various stimulus .patterns. Tests using configurations where the middle stimulus was replaced by a novel pattern support this directional valorization hypothesis. The rules so identified are compared with those that have been previously considered in the context of conditional discrimination learning
