INSUFICIENCIA DINÁMICA, CRECIMIENTO Y DESEMPLEO EN MÉXICO, 1974-2012

Abstract
El artículo presenta una reformulación de la hipótesis de insuficiencia dinámica de Prebisch (1970), analiza la teoría dinámica de Harrod (1939), la ley Kaldor-Verdoorn (Kaldor, 1966; 1967) y la teoría del crecimiento endógeno de Thirlwall (1969; 2000). A posteriori estudiamos los determinantes del crecimiento económico y del desempleo en México durante el periodo 1974-2012. Con base en el análisis empírico, sostenemos que una baja tasa de acumulación genera una reducida absorción de empleo, una baja productividad del trabajo y menores posibilidades de crecimiento económico en el largo plazo.
